Newsletter 2016

This year was a genuine rollercoaster ride for Ecorrector. Our team grew from 2 founders (Dorota Sakowska and Mark J Hunt) to a team of five including Agata Lena Bryła , Bartek Górski, and Kasia Solińska and several support staff who help with website, promotion, invoicing etc.

On top of our proofreading services, this year we added specialised science translations, audio recordings, copywriting and translations into numerous languages. The number of our clients grew dramatically, most of them returning. We are very pleased to have helped almost 100 scientists to publish their work in international peer-reviewed journals. This year we have provided the proofreading for 3 out of 4 volumes for the Scientific Journals of the Maritime University of Szczecin and look forward to continued work with the Scientific Journals in the year ahead. We have also translated  historic texts aimed at English speaking visitors to Malbork Castle (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). This year also saw us start cooperation and provide translations for international clients from Brussels and Chicago.

We presently cooperate with over 200 native speakers worldwide and in all time zones and can honestly say we work 24/7.

We are very pleased with the progress this year and are delighted to welcome Bartek and Kasia who have very recently joined our team. We feel the adrenaline stems not just from the growth of our company, but our passion and conviction to reduce the language barriers so texts can be read for their genuine merit; in the case of scientists we aim to help non-native English speakers submit their work in the best possible way and for businesses to market and properly localise their products and services using high quality translations carried out by native speakers of the target language.

We have numerous plans for next year and hope our company will experience further growth. One thing which will remain unchanged is that quality and strive for perfection will always be our priority.

We would like to thank to all our clients and proofreaders/translators for their support this year and wish you a fantastic New Year in 2016!
