Academic Proofreading
Academic editing improves the overall quality of a text. This includes spelling, syntax and grammar improvements. This services is recommended for general scientific texts such as essays, reports, grant applications, cover letters, and CV’s. Academic editors are experienced linguists but do not hold necessarily hold a PhD.
For manuscripts intended to be submitted to journals we recommend PhD editing or PhD proofreading.
PhD Editing
PhD editing improves the overall quality of the writing and includes rephrasing for flow, improving clarity of message, and changing awkward sentences.
This service is recommended for manuscripts intended for journal submission or where major language revisions have recommended by reviewers. Texts are edited by native English speakers who hold a PhD in an area close to the text.
PhD Proofreading
PhD proofreading involves correcting minor mistakes, missing articles etc. It improves already good writing and is typically at the end stages of the manuscript submission process.
This service is recommended as a last check before a journal submission or where minor revisions have been recommended by reviewers. Texts are edited by native English speakers who hold a PhD in an area close to the text.
