Since 2003, the annual Russian Techtextil Week gathers exhibitors and potential customers to exchange business ideas and technical solutions for the application of technical textiles. The organisers describe it as “a tailor-made business solution for the entire industry.” This year, we teamed up with the Tetex Technical Textiles Magazine and visited Moscow to see it for ourselves.
The entire event focuses on presenting and exploring 12 product groups: fibres and yarns, wovens, nonwovens, coated textiles, technology, composites, bondtec, protective clothing, individual protection, research, associations, publishers. Over 80% of exhibitors are industry manufacturers, who share their ideas with CEOs, managers and specialists operating in the textile industry.
The Techtextil Week proves that technical textiles are applied in various areas of our lives – even those less obvious than constructions, property protection, transport or engineering. Many appliances and devices used in agriculture, shoes and clothing, upholstery, furniture, sport, medicine and packaging are inspired by solutions offered by technical textiles manufacturers.
Alongside the Tetex team, which has the honour of being one of the mail online media partners of the Russian Techntextil Week, we had the opportunity to explore the rich offer of manufacturers and service providers as well as visit the magnificent city of Moscow. Every step was a unique experience as Russia’s capital is a blend of modern and rustic, European and Slavic. We strongly encourage you to visit Moscow, next year’s Russian Techtextil Week and Tetex website with the trade fair catalogue available online!
